YPAC is an artistic hub in Uptown Yucaipa and our goal is to engage, educate, and provide outstanding arts education programing to our community at large. We are developing a variety of educational opportunities that will be offered for all ages. These will include lessons, workshops, and master classes with local and national educators. Stay tuned!

Young Artist’s Academy

4pm OR 6pm

Each week the Young Artist’s Academy explores the Elements of Art, through the study of many diverse artists’ works, while also being introduced to different techniques using a variety of art mediums. Each session includes a directed lesson, with all supplies included. The young artist walks away with confidence, a unique experience, and a self-produced masterpiece.

Hula Classes

Learn the art of hula dancing!  Classes will take place at the Yucaipa Performing Arts Center every Tuesday at 10:00AM and 4:00PM.  Instructor Jennifer Stegall will teach the basic steps of Auana dances, Hawaiian terminology and practicing hula.  This class is open to all ages and skill levels.  No experience needed! Pa’u skirts required (loaners available upon request).

Elements – Adult Art

COLOR, LINE, VALUE, and SPACE

Artists will create an Abstract Composition using layers of Warm or Cool Colored Acrylics. Step by Step. $15/class

Session Two – Thursday, January 20 | 6:30pm-8:00pm

COLOR, TEXTURE, and SHAPE

Artists will mix Tints and Shades to create a Tree using Acrylics, applied with a paintbrush and their fingers.

$15/class

Each session the “ELEMENTS” Adult Basic Art Class explores the Elements of Art, through the study of many diverse artists’ works, while also being introduced to different techniques using a variety of art mediums. Each session includes a directed lesson, with all supplies included. The ELEMENTS artist walks away a unique experience and a masterpiece.

Each class is $15. We meet the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each Month.

Scholarship Assistance Program Application

The City of Yucaipa has received federal Community Development Block Grant funding to provide financial assistance to Yucaipa youth and seniors. The program provides low and moderate-income families, who live in Yucaipa, the opportunity to apply for a scholarship for children 17 years of age and under and Seniors 55 years of age and over. Scholarships may be used to register youth and seniors for City sponsored activities at the Yucaipa Community Center, Scherer Community Center, and Yucaipa Performing Arts Center. Filling out this application does not guarantee a scholarship.
