YPAC is an artistic hub in Uptown Yucaipa and our goal is to engage, educate, and provide outstanding arts education programing to our community at large. We are developing a variety of educational opportunities that will be offered for all ages. These will include lessons, workshops, and master classes with local and national educators. Stay tuned!

Young Artist’s Academy

4pm OR 6pm

Each week the Young Artist’s Academy explores the Elements of Art, through the study of many diverse artists’ works, while also being introduced to different techniques using a variety of art mediums. Each session includes a directed lesson, with all supplies included. The young artist walks away with confidence, a unique experience, and a self-produced masterpiece.

Hula Classes

Learn the art of hula dancing!  Instructor Jennifer Stegall will teach the basic steps of hula dance. Learn dances from some of the Hula masters. Hawaiian words, culture, and tradition are an integral part of the class. No experience needed! Pa’u skirts required (loaners available upon request).

Fees for all classes:

  • Youth (6-10 y/o) – $30.00
  • Adults (11-54 y/o) – $40.00
  • Seniors (55+) – $25.00

Acting Classes

Students will learn to act for stage, film, television, and commercials.

Learning skillful techniques for all performance realms. Learning how to audition, memorize lines and perform with ease. Classes also cover improvisation, character development, and musical theater. Regular students have expressed gaining confidence in themselves, having fun, “really learning how to act”, and becoming much better public speakers!!  Classes taught by Michelle Mureaux ~ Hollywood Talent Manager.

Adult and youth acting classes will be held at the Yucaipa Performing Arts Center.

Explore the combination of singing, dancing, and acting techniques to help hone performing skills! New or experienced, this performance class is a great fit for you!

Scholarship Assistance Program Application

The City of Yucaipa has received federal Community Development Block Grant funding to provide financial assistance to Yucaipa youth and seniors. The program provides low and moderate-income families, who live in Yucaipa, the opportunity to apply for a scholarship for children 17 years of age and under and Seniors 55 years of age and over. Scholarships may be used to register youth and seniors for City sponsored activities at the Yucaipa Community Center, Scherer Community Center, and Yucaipa Performing Arts Center. Filling out this application does not guarantee a scholarship.
